countertops finishes
We offer three distinctly different types finishes to compliment your individual style.
form finish
Concrete is cast upside-down into forms. The surface gets its character, color mottling, and tonal variations from the form material and the casting process.
ground finish
The surface of the concrete is ground to expose the sand and stone in the concrete and then polished to a smooth finish. A light grind will expose primarily small sand grains and produce a light, sandy texture. A heavy grind begins to cut into the larger stones in the concrete and produces a terrazzo-like finish.
trowel top
We cast the concrete into forms right side up and hand trowel to the desired finish. We can create a soft "rustic" look or burnish the finish to a high polish with the steel trowel. The trowel pattern and the hand finishing create this look. There is nothing faux about this finish!
